Permits Related to Construction
IMPROVEMENT PERMITS
City Improvement Permits are required for project such as Roofing, Siding, Windows, etc.
- Permit Fees: $40.00.
- Permit is good for 1 year.
- Project must be started within 120 days.
- Approval is granted from the Planning and Zoning Commission.
City Zoning Permits are required for any New Construction including Decks, Fences, Garages, etc. Zoning regulations are enforced to bring uniformity to the City.
Zoning regulations control:
- Size of buildings
- Setbacks from the lot line
- Setbacks from City streets and alleys
Zoning Permit Applications must be submitted by the 3rd Friday of the month to be coonsidered by the Planning and Zoning Commission at their regular monthly meeting.

SIGN PERMIT
If you are adding, modifying, or altering your sign, use this permit.

A variance is needed for any deviation from the Zoning Regulations and should be applied for 4-5 weeks before you plan on building.
The fee for a Variance is $50.00
The fee for Rezoning is $100.00
