The IRRRB's mission is to promote and invest in business, community and workforce development for the betterment of northeastern Minnesota.

Their strategies to accomplish this mission are

1. To assist area businesses with the expansion of existing facilities and the creation of new jobs.

2. To help create attractive, healthy places to live by investing in the development of good community infrastructure.

3. To develop the region's workforce to meet the needs of students and industries.

Toward accomplishing those strategies, we are asking: "How can we help you?" We ask that question of our businesses, our communities and our partners in education. We will work hard to make northeastern Minnesota an even better place to do business, live and receive the kind of education that prepares our workforce for good paying jobs.

Surrounded by beautiful lakes and tree-lined fishing streams, Laskin Energy Park, adjacent to the Laskin Energy Center, offers industrial building sites for new and expanding manufacturers. The sites come with low-cost electricity, natural gas and steam. Fiber optics are already in place, along with digital switching, making Laskin Energy Park comparable to any metro area      industrial park, without the traffic. Rail access, low-cost land and innovative financing round out the package.
